         19   was held from 11:03 a.m. until 11:19 a.m., at the

          4                 MS. RIENSTRA:  Good morning.  The time is

          5   11:03 on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015.  My name is

          6   Deanne Rienstra, and I am an assistant general counsel

          7   for the Texas Lottery Commission.

          8                 With me today is Robert Tirloni, Products

          9   and Drawing Manager for the Lottery Operations Division

         10   of the Texas Lottery Commission.

         11                 The purpose of this hearing is to receive

         12   public comment on the proposed amendments to the

         13   Powerball Game Rule 401.317.

         14                 In addition to this public comment

         15   hearing, the Commission is accepting written comments by

         16   mail, email, and facsimile.  Written comments should be

         17   submitted no later than Monday, January 25, 2015.

         18                 This hearing notice was published in the

         19   Texas Register on Friday, December 26, 2014.  The

         20   purpose of the proposed new rule is to make changes to

         21   the base Powerball game, including the matrix, the prize

         22   amounts and the prize structure changes to incorporate

         23   and enhance the Power Play feature as part the $2.00

         24   cost per play of the base Powerball game and to offer a

         25   new optional add-on feature referred to in these

          1   proposed amendments as PowerPLUS, and finally to

          2   incorporate additional conforming language needed as a

          3   result of the Texas Lottery's membership in the

          4   Multi-State Lottery Association.

          5                 We have not received any witness

          6   affirmation forms this morning, and we do not have

          7   anyone in attendance.  No members of the public are in

          8   attendance.  So at this time I will take a 15-minute

          9   break to make sure somebody's not caught in traffic and

         10   will adjourn -- we will take a break.

         12                 MS. RIENSTRA:  Okay.  We are back on the

         13   record at 11:19.  Having received no comments, at this

         14   time we will close this public hearing.  However, I do

         15   need to make one comment.

         16                 The written comments should be submitted

         17   no later than Monday, January 26th, if we could correct

         18   that in my earlier statement.  It's Monday, January 26.

         19                 So we are now adjourned.  Thank you very
