Recent Texas Lottery and Charitable Bingo Rulemaking Proceedings

The table on this page lists recent rulemaking proceedings to amend, repeal, or add new Texas Lottery and Charitable Bingo rules. Rule proposals listed on this page have been approved at a public meeting for submission to the Texas Register for publication to receive public comment. Rulemaking information will be maintained on this page for a period of approximately one year after the end of the rulemaking proceeding.

The column headings indicate the status of each rulemaking proceeding. For rules that have been published in the Texas Register, a link is provided to the Texas Register issue. The first two columns of the table indicate the rule number, rule title, and contact person for the rule proposals.

Proposed rules are typically published in the Texas Register about two weeks after the meeting at which the proposed rules are approved for publication. To provide for review of proposed rules before publication, the rule text may be available on this website, and the text may be accessed by clicking on the approval date in the “Proposal Approved at Commission Meeting” column. Once the proposal is published in the Texas Register (published each Friday), a link to the Texas Register official version will be added to the “Proposal Published in the Texas Register” column.

Your public comment must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the comment ending date, which is specified in the “Comment Period Ends” column.

If the rule is approved and adopted, the date of that action will be added to the “Adoption Approved at Commission Meeting” column, and that date will contain a link to the rule text version of the adopted rule. [Note: The official version of the rule text appears in the Texas Register.]

The “Adoption Published in the Texas Register” column links to the Texas Register official version, and the last column provides the effective date of the adopted rule.
